Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

Community Connect (“we,” “us,” or “our") is operated by Paul Mansfield as an individual / sole-proprietor SaaS business. By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using Community Connect (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2. What the Service does

Community Connect is subscription software for property management companies. You can create an account, add the properties or communities you manage, enter free-text notes, and use our AI text-generation feature to draft monthly HOA or community newsletters. The newsletters are saved to your account so you can revisit or copy them later. We do not send newsletters directly to residents — you choose how to distribute them.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide a valid email address and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. The Service is intended for businesses and adults; you may not use it if you are under 18.

4. Free trial and subscriptions

New accounts start with a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. After the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription (monthly or annual). All payments are processed by Stripe; we never store your card number ourselves.

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime through the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect immediately and access ends at that time. If you downgrade to a plan with a lower community limit, your existing communities and newsletters are preserved, but you won’t be able to add new communities until you are back within the new limit.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. Don’t use it to generate or store content that is illegal, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise harmful. Don’t attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service.

6. AI-generated content disclaimer

Newsletter drafts are generated by an AI text-generation service based on the notes you provide. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or miss important context. Always review AI-generated content before distributing it to residents. Community Connect is not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated text or for any decisions you make based on it.

7. Intellectual property

You own the property details, notes, and final newsletters you enter or generate. We own the Service itself, including its code, design, and branding. We receive only the rights needed to run the Service for you (hosting, processing, and backing up your data).

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Community Connect and Paul Mansfield will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you did not pay.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if necessary to protect the Service. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon termination, we may delete your data in accordance with our data retention practices.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after the changes means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sedgwick County, Kansas.
